Raw Material Verification Procedures
Botanical production requires laboratory testing at each phase. Cretan sage (Salvia fruticosa) and dittany are tested immediately after drying. We measure moisture levels, which must not exceed 11 percent, to prevent mold development.
Chemical Analysis and Purity
Every batch undergoes gas chromatography testing. This method records the levels of carvacrol, thujone, and other bioactive compounds.
- Quality testing: Screening for the absence of pesticide residues, heavy metals, and microbial load prior to extraction.
- Traceability: Each bottle is linked to a batch number that corresponds to the specific cultivation plot and harvest date.
Significance for the End User
Standardization ensures a consistent concentration of active compounds in every drop. A tested extract maintains the same potency from the day it is opened until the end of its shelf life, without fluctuations in density or purity.
